		<description>To rent a one bedroom in the downtown core in a newer concrete highrise, you would be paying anywhere between $1400-$1500 a month and if furnished you can pay up to $2500 a month depending on the location and the suite itself.  If you purchased a one bedroom unit in an older concrete highrise in the downtown core, you could find something around the $350,000 to $400,000 range.  Depending on how much downpayment, your mortgage payment would be around $1800-$2000 a month.  So if you are able to spend a little less in the next year few years, you can own your own home and mortgage instead of paying off someone elses.  Currently there are options that banks offer with little or no downpayment.  There are definitely many more options these days.
